A week with Ma and Pa

Dave's parents have been visiting us in Sydney from QLD for the past week. It has been lovely watching Elizabeth and them enjoy each other and to hear Elizabeth calling them 'Ma' and 'Pa'. It was also nice for me to have some babysitters around and to get a haircut!

Yesterday we went to the zoo which I think everyone enjoyed. We saw the elephants, giraffes and chimpanzees again as well as the kangaroos, a seal and some farm animals. The kid zoo was a bit disappointing as they didn't have many animals there yesterday but there was a guinea pig and a bunny that the children could hold as well as a snake and lizard for them to touch. Elizabeth was able to hold the guinea pig in her lap which she loved but I had to keep rescuing it from being poked in the eye!

I am always sad when family go back home. But then I think that these times we have together are made more special and we do make more of an effort to do special things when we don't see each other as much.
